I don't understand why Rado watches aren't as well known as some of the other Swiss watchmakers. But perhaps that's a good thing, as owning a Rado watch puts the owner into a smaller, more exclusive club. Rado has been making watches for over 40 years and their reputation as makers of superb timepieces was acknowledged when they produced the DiaStar – the world's first scratch proof watch. Rado watches are made with an eye on the future. While other watch manufacturers rely on traditional materials, Rado has pioneered the use of modern materials, such as high-tech diamond, high-tech lanthanum, sapphire crystal, hard metal or high-tech ceramics. Rado is a company that constantly strives to find new materials and engineering techniques to make the most technically advanced watches available today. I am lucky enough to own a Rado Original. One day I hope to own a V10K.
